Spice dish

And here is my glass dish...

I too have had mine a while but did not dare breath a word until I was sure that everyone else had theirs. Ted chose to base mine on my spice quilt. It sits on the coffee table in the middle of our garden lounge. I love the curved corners of it.

I should have added to the main post that the dish is better than the original quilt. And as a result it made me want to reinterpret the dish back into another quilt.... Does this qualify as metamoprhosis I wonder?

It was the design elements of Helen's piece that made me notice it. The use of rectangles within rectangles and the depth created by the overlapping background elements are wonderful.

As to metamorphosis... Beyond being embarrassed by this whole process, I am worried that like a time traveler, I might touch or alter something that would change history. It is nearing time for me to return to Twelve by Twelve spousal oblivion.
