Some Dandelion Imagery

I have such a busy October. I am trying to stay on task with this. Thank goodness it is a relatively small quilt. I just took a class in "Transferology" with Wendy Huhn. I took some laser copies of some dandelions and here are some of the images that resulted. The top one is a gel transfer to fabric. The bottom left is a Citrasolve transfer to silk charmeuse - quite lovely, but didn't photograph well. The bottom right is a gel skin or decal, made by layering gel on the image and letting it dry, then washing off the paper. The resulting gel decal can be glued to fabric and stitched, like fabric.

Today, I played with the fluffy dandelion in Photoshop and came up with this image which I plan to use to make a Thermofax screen. Not sure what I am doing with all of this, but something will emerge!! BTW, I don't understand how all you "blogspot" bloggers get along with blogger. Posting photos is a pain!!!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing what these turn into.

Much as I wanted to focus on YELLOW for this project, it seems like the seedhead motif has prevailed. I am very impressed with the sketchy quality of your Photoshopped fluffy dandelion and look forward to seeing what emerges at the end of the month.

Gerrie,
I really like the photoshop dandelion and even if you don't use it for this, I'd like to see what it does when you thermofax it. I agree about blogspot, very slow and sometimes hard to move the image around

If you are experiencing problems with the text wrapping around your image in ways that you do not expect, I suggest that you check "None" on the "Choose a Layout" screen in Blogger. I also check the "Medium" size image and "Use this layout always". (I use Firefox as my browser but the same prompts appear with IE.)

If you have already started writing your blog post, this approach will insert your image at the top of your blog post but you can easily cut & paste or drag and drop it elsewhere in your post. Because there is no alignment formatting attached to the image, it will sit neatly between two paragraphs of text. I hope this helps...

Thank you for those tips, Brenda!! I'll try that next time.
