One of the many fun things about these Colourplay challenges is seeing what others associate with a particular colour. For example, my husband immediately came up with Chevy Orange:
He is enthusiastic about this shibori piece as an abstraction of an engine block (or something!) but I've gone off on another tangent...

It does kind of look like an engine block from the pictures above.
Ah yes, but does your husband have an orage Chevy? (LOL)
Renate, I believe there is a bright orange Chevy Camaro in his past. How very 1970s!
There were many 1950s classic cars and later model muscle cars in my past, though oddly, none orange. Orange and muscle cars does go together nicely. Kudos to the Laundry King.
What great shibori fabric! I'll look forward to seeing how you use that eventually! I am smiling at the orange Chevys ... the only strong color association I have with cars is red and Ferarris, as my dad is a Ferrari lover and for a few years owned a very shiny red one. Now I will be on the lookout for orange Chevys. But (here in the US anyway) have you noticed how boring the car colors are? These days you see white, black, silver, gold, red, sometimes blue, and that's all. Very little variety.
