Been there, doing that

Sage, light (greeny) blues and very very light almost cream browns?
Just what we have been testing for our downstairs rooms.
I have every brand of sage green testerpot known to man. IOr at least an Englishman Now to find out if you can paint quilts with wall paint :)

I thought the testers were meant to be painted directly to the wall not onto paper. You are seeing the white edge which changes the tone and saturation of the color.

I agree about using the paint on fabric. I'd add a textile medium of some sort, though, to soften the hand.

I think the the wall paint will be very stiff on fabric if that matters to you. Hard to sew through too. Wall paints are formulated to cover over other colors and a full of materials that make them extremely opaque. They may even crack on fabric once dry. I'd sure test it first.

I paint with wall paint all the time and it works great. I do my machine stitching first, and add hand stitching after. It's really great if you use a little wool in your batting, then wash it after stitching to get the puckering
