P'Tina

As you probably already know, I very much enjoy including cats in my art. I love cats and they are a great source of inspiration for me. And I also had a sudden awareness that I haven't created a quilt this round yet with a cat on it.

I've been having a lot of fun recently painting some fun kitty characters and had wanted to do one in fabric. This was the perfect time to do that.

This quilt was made with fused, raw-edge appliqué and free motion quilting. I also added touches of paint for shading and highlighting.

I love the texture in the rusty kitty fur. We once had a cat who looked like that. His name was Rusty Q KittyKat.

Oh, this is so delightful! I'm glad to see one of your cats and I'm always impressed at how you fuse (no pun intended) such individual personality into each one! I especially love the blue eyes on this guy! Wonderful fabric choices, too, as always.

I have the feeling that this kitty would feel like crushed velvet if you were to pet him. Lovely use of fabrics.

A very alert cat indeed. But surely (Despite the pronouns in the other comments) it is a she cat - look how she has accessoried with flowers to match her eyes!
Oh and she's called Tima. Big clue there!

Love your interpretation and this is perfect in fabric. It is all about the eyes and you captured them perfectly.
