The Comfy Chair

I really loved this theme -- I'm always drawn to chair images, and I had lots of ideas to work with. The hardest part of this challenge was deciding on the one I wanted to explore.

I ultimately settled on this, "the comfy chair" because it suited my emotional state during this challenge period. We all have times of difficult stuff in our lives, and for me, at those times I seek quiet and comfort. The idea of curling up in a comfy chair to read and sip coffee is my idea of the ultimate comfort!

This isn't a complex image, but I thought that the simplicity of the design suited the sense of simple, homey comfort.

I love these comfy chairs. Yours is bold, yet still conveys the appropriate coziness. the polka dots say night time to me too -- the perfect time for a cuppa and a good book.

Diane and her favorite things. I recognized you right away. This is another piece that you must look at enlarged. the quilting details in the chair are fantastic.

I don't own a comfy chair like this. It just doesn't fit into my modern decor, but I sure would love to settle into one of these today.

Love it!!

Ohhhhh I love this!!! The colors are what hit me first. I really like how you created your chair design with the background showing through the pieces of the chair. And the stitched details are great.

Yes, I agree. When I click to get a bigger view I am really impressed with the perfect quilting lines. Great job! Such nice dimension in the shapes too. Did you use paint stiks?

I love this comfy chair! It has an almost storybook feel about it and tells a story with the warm cup of coffee or chocolate and the book.

This is very cozy. I would just add a piece of chocolate, and it would be perfect for me.
Love the colour and the stitching of the chair.
