A small step

I've been thinking a little more about my small neighbourhood community. Trying to symbolize the fading links between its different members, I thought of drawing a kind of spiral within the house shape, a spiral centering on itself. (I drew it going inwards.)
I then carved a printing block, and played a bit with paper, fabric and paint. My quilt is slowly taking shape in my head, at last...
I wonder what you guys are doing now. Are you thinking and working hard on your 12x12 quilts? I'm very curious...

I like your block print houses! I am working on small faces. I'll try to post something soon.

I really like your house-shaped spiral.

I'm very drawn to these spiral house shapes. They're so simple but they convey a lot. And I like how the irregular print of stamping these comes out too, the partly faded look. Very cool.

I love the concept of the spiral in the houses too. I'm thinking stamped houses as well, but I'm sure mine will look different. I've had other projects with shorter deadlines that have kept me away from my 12 x 12 piece. Murphy's Law has also seen to it that as soon as I put something in my sketchbook, something like it appears the next day somewhere on the web!

I'm still working out the logistics for an abstract. I am writing lots of thoughts down so I can hopefully come up with what I want. I can almost picture it in my head but not quite
