Twelve by Twelve @ Hamilton

The Twelve by Twelve exhibition opened at the Craft & Quilt Fair in Hamilton yesterday and attracted a steady stream of admirers throughout the day.  We have been allocated a large exhibition space which allows each theme to be presented in distinctive sets.  There's also space to display my Colourplay quilts so far along with posters of the cover of our forthcoming book.  The show continues until Sunday 12 September before travelling onto Christchurch.  Stop by if you can!

Looks great, Brenda!

Are those solid(ish) walls that you can poke pins into? They look so wonderfully smooth and the quilts seem to hang invisibly. I love it!

Love seeing how they look in each new venue! Thanks for sheparding our flock, Brenda.

The walls are wooden partitions covered in black carpet. The quilts are secured with T-pins so they sit flat and (almost!) in alignment. The black background really shows off the quilts:-)

I visit the Quilt and Craft Fair yesterday and really enjoyed your exhibition. Your quilts look wonderful! Thank you all for showing them it's so much better than seeing them in "real life" on a page or the screen.I'll now keep and eye on your blogs.

I too visited the Craft and Quilt Show in Hamilton today and was really amazed at all the little masterpieces that the broup of 12 have come up with. Brenda was a great hostess and I think I may just have been tempted to try a 12by12 myself although the results will not be nearly as good as yours. Keep up the challenges, I look forward to following your journey over the next couple of years!
