Twelve Colour Wheel

If this warm winter keeps up, I may do some dyeing this week. Then again, look what I found in my hand dye stash:

Beautiful! What kind of dyes do you use? Do you use a few basic colors and then mix to get the rest or do you buy all kinds of colors?

Hi Lisa
I use Procion fibre reactive dyes. I start with three "primary" colours - a red, a yellow and a blue - and make my 21-step rainbow from there.

In a similar vein, you may be interested in Terri's 2-colour gradation tutorial (pdf from Two Creative Studios).

Thank you for the information and the links. I'm new to dying and everything I can learn right now is much appreciated!
