A beautiful, safe and happy environment in which to live. Quite dreamlike.
This quilt, the third attempt in this challenge, popped into my head when I was growing quite desperate for ideas. I named all the streets/roads/highways with names that related somehow to our group. It is a whole cloth quilt and I created the streets using a gel glue resist.

this is great Terri!
Such a charming piece! I love the idea and the colors -- and I love seeing that Del got her own street!
The whole concept of all the entries is wonderful.
Love the quilting on it Terri, and you show us all that is good to be 'challenged' - look what happens! Lovely piece!
Your colors so beautiful Terri, and I love the stitching. It looks like fields seen from a plane.
What fun! I agree with Karen you fields of stitching is wonderful. I love the names of our streets.
I love the line you get with glue resist. They make perfect roads and outline your shapes beautifully. Your piece is both fun and clever!
Very clever Terri. Love your quilting and names of each of your streets as well as the color choices.
It's wonderful.
I love the simplicity and agree that line created by the resist is wonderful--so expressive.
This piece just makes me smile and smile and smile. The way that you created the illusion of different fields with your quilting, the various roadway names....I just can't stop smiling...
What a fun and playful interpretation of the theme! I am always fascinated by street names and I would love to study your map more closely.
"One Foot Square" hahahahaa! Love that :)
Your quilting is soooo lovely, Terri!
The glue resist makes perfect roads on this fun map and I love the different color fields. I'm sure you had fun naming all those roads.
I think it might be time for a road trip!
What a wonderful idea and a great quilt! Like Renate, I can't stop smiling. This quilt makes me so happy.
It's like a free-motion quilting sampler! So many cool motifs and such great stitching. Such a clever collection of street names, too.
Like Kirstins I enjoyed the fact that I could spend time reading this quilt. I think that maybe the streets could have been a little wider as the writing seems squashed but I have never used glue resist so I didnt know if that would be possible with this technique?
