I've made dismal progress with my official piece for the purple and yellow colour challenge. I've been distracted with preparations for the Sydney Quilt Show 2010 which opens tomorrow. I've just put the finishing touches on the prize winners gallery which will go live in 12 hours or so (around noon Sydney time).
Rose Moderne, one of my alternative Window works is on display in the members' exhibition. I notice that it is mostly purple and yellow but I don't propose to recycle it !
I brought a bundle of Twelve by Twelve postcards with me to the show. I'll be on duty in the Guild area from Wednesday-Friday and again on Sunday so please come and say hello and let me know if you would like to buy a set. Meanwhile, the Twelve by Twelve exhibition continues at Gosford Regional Gallery until Wednesday, 23 June.

I love the rose moderne. It definitely could work for the next theme. I have no doubt that you will come up with something equally stunning.
I remember that one. :-) Yes, it would fit teh challenge well. Don't worry too much though, I haven't made much (OK, any) progress on my piece either and I don;t even have the excuse of a distraction like working a quilt show.
I finally turned my tiny sketch into a 12" sketch today. That's as far as I have gotten.
You are farther along than I am Terry. I can't even come up with an idea.
This piece IS a stunner, Brenda, and I for one have no problem with "repurposing" something you made before! Sometimes are just crazy, and I know you've been working hard on our exhibits and the quilt show and all. So if it meets the requirements (ie, 12x12, the theme colors, and not previously used as a 12x12 "entry") then I'd have no problem with your having that be your designated piece for the theme.
Recycling is so CURRENT and trendy, you know. :-)
I'm working in two separate directions on two separate pieces, so who knows which one will be The One...
I've been following the 12x12 since its inception -- no hope of seeing the pieces "live" but would it be possible to purchase one or more sets of the postcards by mail? You can email me via my blog.
I hope the show is a great success, I'm 100% sure it will be.
