The Spice of Life

I've been checking out menu at my local Indian restaurants trying to come up with an idea for Helen's color choices.  The first sample I'm working on has turmeric and paprika in it.


I think the asafoetida and cumin can be added in later. Perhaps some mustard seed and garam masala, I'll have to do more research.

    Yyummy research indeed. Did you dye your fabrics with the spices, or just match the colors? Either way is has a nice spicy warmth to it.

    Kristin and Dolores, I used regular old mx dyes for this in yellows and pale oranges, and as you will see in the reveal, I over dyed the whole thing, then used bleach to take out the color in certain areas
