Today...

... I've been checking my fabric choices and design ideas for the chartreuse Colorplay challenge,
and I also had a very quick play with fabric paints...
My conclusion is that I should make at least two quilts if I want to be happy with this challenge. ;-)

  2. What lovely, organic forms and textures. Will you share your secret?

  3. This looks like monoprinting, where you spread or blobbed colors of paint on a surface, spread fabric, and then pulled the fabric up from one side to get those directional coral-like lines? Am I right? (Although MY monoprints never look that cool...)

  4. Will you share your secret for creating this beauty, pretty-please?

  5. It's a kind of monotype. I paint my design on a glass plate, put a transparency on top, then carefully pull the transparency away. I now have two plates that I can use to print fabric (one print per plate). Next time I'll do this, I'll try to have someone take pictures of the process.
