... I've been checking my fabric choices and design ideas for the chartreuse Colorplay challenge,
and I also had a very quick play with fabric paints...
My conclusion is that I should make at least two quilts if I want to be happy with this challenge. ;-)
Love what you've done with the paint, Francoise!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Connie.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely, organic forms and textures. Will you share your secret?
ReplyDeleteThis looks like monoprinting, where you spread or blobbed colors of paint on a surface, spread fabric, and then pulled the fabric up from one side to get those directional coral-like lines? Am I right? (Although MY monoprints never look that cool...)
ReplyDeleteWill you share your secret for creating this beauty, pretty-please?
ReplyDeleteIt's a kind of monotype. I paint my design on a glass plate, put a transparency on top, then carefully pull the transparency away. I now have two plates that I can use to print fabric (one print per plate). Next time I'll do this, I'll try to have someone take pictures of the process.
