Neon
As shown on my blog, earlier in the year I did some fabric painting and then played around with some effects in Photoshop. This particular glowing example caught my attention (click to enlarge):
I even got as far as experimenting with some thread drawing to see if I could achieve a similar effect:

Oooh, pretty. I especially like the experiments with the thicker threads, and the look of the pink and yellow concentric circles.

ReplyDeleteNice. Is that bobbin work? I agree. I'm not sure it would be effective as a whole piece. Interesting that you are working with black. I was thinking about bright white as a background.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to your TIF challenge Miekenoor. Threadwork has a lot of possibilities. My sample was done using perle thread and a large-eyed topstitch needle. Bobbin work is another approach but I like to be able to see how the work is developing as I go along.
